- There was a total blitz for the number one pick. Every team wanted it. I recall no team admitting to tanking, but they weren't all that sad when they helped their cause. The number one pick was sure to be Shaquille O'Neal of LSU.
- The Chicago Bulls won 67 games.
- Dennis Rodman averages18.7 rebounds per game.
- Stanley Roberts was starting at center for the Orlando Magic. He lost his job the day the Magic won the lottery. The Magic won only 21 games, good for second worst in the league, Minnesota won only 15.
1. Magic: Shaquille O'Neal. That worked out okay.
2. Hornets: Alonzo Mourning. Also worked out okay.
3. Wolves: Christian Laettner. Yuck.
4. Mavs: Jimmy Jackson. Became a good role player 10 years later.
5. Nuggets: Laphonso Ellis. Injuries ruined his career.
6. Bullets: Tom Gugliotta. Pretty sure they traded him for Chris Webber. So that was okay.
7. Kings: Walt Williams. I loved being this guy on NBA Jam. He was lousy in real life.
8. Bucks: Todd Day. Flop.
9. 76ers: Clarence Weatherspoon. When they took him they said he was the next Charles Barkley. I think this is because they were both short and fat. Weatherspoon never amounted to much.
10. Hawks: Adam Keefe. Does this guy look like an NBA player to you?
11. Houston: Robert Horry. Clutch as they come.
12. Heat: Harold Miner. They called him "Baby Jordan" again, just a physical thing. Played 200 games in the NBA.
13. Denver: Bryant Stith. Retired at the age of 31.
14. Pacers: Malik Sealy. Former Piston died in a car accident.
15. Lakers: Anthony Peeler. Role player.
16. Clippers: Randy Woods. Averaged a career high 3.6 ppg in 1994. Yeesh.
24. Warriors: Latrell Sprewell. How did things work out for him in Golden State?
When I look back on it, 1992 was a pretty lousy draft. I remember the highlight for me was when the Pistons drafted Don MacLean and promptly traded him and William "the addict" Bedford to the Clippers for Olden Polynice. Did you know that Olden Polynice has been arrested at least twice for impersonating a police officer? Weird.
Hopefully that was at least mildly amusing.

What do you mean it was a weak draft? Any draft where Matt Steigenga was the third-to-last player picked has to be a deep draft.
