Zumaya
It doesn't matter how hard you throw if all you throw is fastballs. If you throw 97-100 on every pitch, the batter will catch up to them eventually. Come on.
I agree and disagree. There are two things that Zoomer has to do.
1. Locate, locate, locate. If he is throwing 99mph heat but putting it right down the pipe, hitters are just oing to need one pitch to line it up and then whammy.
2. Develop a change up. This could be the most deadly combo ever. This is whay Sabaithia is so good because of his circle change that looks EXACTLY like his heater, but is about 18 mph slower and has a touch of movement on it.
Zumaya doesn't even need to develop a curve, slider or anything. Just two pitches and he is lights out.
