Pistons-Cavs Game 2
Last night's game two was a lot like game one. However, in game one, it seemed like a sloppy game. Last night's game was just a tough, physical game. In the first quarter that was a foul on Rip. But with 7 seconds left in the game, they will never call a foul on that play. Those are my thoughts. Also, Rasheed was so clutch, so clutch.

No way does LeBron get the call in that situation. I was listening to Barkley talk after the game and he was making the point that Magic or Jordan would not have got that call on the road either.
Huge coaching mistake by Mike Brown. He should lose his job. In game one, he should have told LeBron, "You are taking the last shot. That's final." He could have taken the doubt out of his mind and LeBron could have jsut shot. Last night, for some UNKNOWN reason, they took the ball out of his hands in the second half.
News flash to Mike Brown: WHEN YOU HAVE THE NEXT SUPERSTART OF THE LEAGUE, YOU LET HIM TAKE OVER THE GAME. This is not rocket science. King James is the best player on the court for either teams HANDS DOWN. THere is no reason he should be dishing when he is having a big game.
I don't blame all of that on Mike Brown. His biggest mistake was picking up a technical when his team was down only one point. Then if Rip makes both of his free throws you're still only down three.
On LeBron, I am confident and will argue this with anyone that he just doesn't have that killer instinct that stars have down the stretch. There are several players who aren't stars who have that. Chauncey has that. Rasheed for sure has that. Reggie Miller had it. LeBron doesn't have it, plain and simple. That's why he passes so much, complains so much, but more than anything, that's why he's only putting up 18 pts a game in this series.
I'm just old enough to remember press conferences by Michael Jordan after the Bulls would lose to the Pistons. Jordan didn't do that wimpy conference like we saw from LeBron last night. He would answer the questions, not a make a lot of excuses, but you could tell he was furious. Just livid that his team lost to a bunch of jerks. LeBron's not like that, he just isn't.
SOrry B, the tech at the end of the game was an example of poor self management which OBVIOUSLY trickles down to the team.
I do agree with the fact that LeBron man not have the killer instinct. He doesn't have the experience which means he needs to be guided...the best person to do that is a good coach. On top of that LeBron has been taught (not sure by who) to have a "victim" mentality versus an "ownership" mentality.
As a coach, Brown needs to take the question out of LeBron's mind like I said about him taking the last shot in game one. Don't get me wrong, King James screwed up royally. He should have backed little Rip right down to the hoop and turned and fired. He didn't.
On top of all that, you heard in the press conference LeBron said, "In the second half we wanted to get hte ball into Z's hands." What on earth were they thinking?
It had little to do with how the last 10 second played out and somuch more to do with how the entire second half was played by James and the Cavs.
